Honda will build factory naTailândia

Honda Motor, the third largest car manufacturer from Japan, will build a new plant in Thailand after its product line to achieve record sales in the country.
The automaker, based in Tokyo, will invest $ 251 million to open a factory in the country, with annual capacity for up to 120 thousand units, according to statement released yesterday. Honda intends to start local operations until 2015 to build models like the Civic and Accord sedans.
The Honda movement towards Thailand comes after record sales of 171.2 thousand units worldwide, clear signal that the automaker managed to recover from the damage caused in their factories by natural disasters that hit Japan in 2011.
Besides Honda, another Japanese automaker decided to invest abroad. Suzuki also announced yesterday that it plans to open a factory in Myanmar in May. The company is awaiting permission from the local Government to begin construction of its subsidiary.
Lower profit
Honda cut in 1.3% net profit forecast for the fiscal year, for the equivalent of $ 4.4 billion, after vehicle sales have been affected by the protests in China against Japan, while the automaker continues to have difficulties in Europe. In the third fiscal quarter, the automaker had net income of $ 849,9 million, almost 40% higher compared to the same period last year.
