With an investment of r $ 500 million, Mercedes factory is ready in 2016

The Global CEO of Mercedes-Benz, Andreas Renschler, President of automaker in Brazil, Philipp Schiemer, announced earlier a new plant in Brazil, which will be located in Iracemápolis, São Paulo State. Andreas Renschler said the plant, when completed, will generate 1,000 direct jobs and that the investment planned for the project is $ 500 million. Designed production capacity by automaker for Iracemápolis is 20 thousand units per year. "We are confident in the future of the country, hence the decision to produce passenger vehicles," said the CEO.
The President of Mercedes in Brazil, Philipp Schiemer, argued that the automaker predicts a significant growth, the "medium term", the luxury market in the country, where the company enters now with factory in Iracemápolis. According to him, this market, this 30 thousand units per year, may reach 100 thousand units.
