Coca Cola must acquire 100% of the Vonpar in Brazil

Coca-Cola FEMSA, the largest bottler of Coca-Cola products in the world by volume of sales, formalized today (23) an agreement to acquire 100% of the Vonpar, one of the largest privately owned bottlers Coca-Cola Brazil system, through its brazilian subsidiary (Spal Brazilian Beverage Industry S/A). The deal, which is pending to be approved by Cade-Administrative Council for economic defense-strengthens the company''s presence in the southern region of the country, extending its activities on the markets of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
The purchase will consolidate business growth in Brazil in the last 12 months, the Vonpar 190,000,000 unit boxes sold drinks including beer unit boxes 23,000,000, generating about of 2,026,000 R$ in net revenues. The agreement with the Vonpar proves the bet of Coca-Cola FEMSA in the Brazilian market, extending its operations to the South and strengthening its presence in the country. "The great history of the Vonpar are very important for the consolidation of the business growth of Coca-Cola FEMSA in Brazil. We are confident with regard to the exchange of best practices of the Organization and with the synergies of geographic areas, and we will be consolidating our leading position in the country, "says Ian Craig, CEO of Coca-Cola FEMSA Brazil.
