Sinapi register variation of 0.20% in July

The national index of construction (Sinapi), calculated by the IBGE, presented a variation of 0.20% in July, falling 0.82 p. p below the June rate (1.02%). The accumulated over the past twelve months has been to 6.47%, a result below the 6.99% recorded in the previous 12 months. In July 2015 the index was 0.69%. The national cost of construction per square meter, up to R$ 1,009.76 in July. The portion of materials presented fall of 0.11 percent, while there were registered increase in June (0.16%). Already the share of the workforce was discharged of 0.54%, although it has retreated 1.43 p p for the previous month (1.97%).
Northeast region Registers Greatest monthly variation the Northeast (0.48%) was the largest regional variation in July and the other regions showed the following results: 0.06% (North), 0.06% (Southeast), 0.19% (South) and 0.03% (Midwest). Regional costs per square metre, were: R$ 1,017.74 (North); R$ 938.97 (Northeast); R$ 1,060.85 (Southeast); R$ 1,034.04 (South) and R$ (Midwest) 1,000.06. Already, due to the pressure exerted by the salary adjustment of the collective agreement, the Maranhão was the State that presented the biggest monthly variation: 2.25%.
