Beauty items for men grow 16% in five years

Hygiene and beauty products for the male audience recorded growth of 16% over the past five years. Last year alone, the high was 2.4% according to Abihpec, an association that gathers the manufacturers of this sector.
The "Qualibest" Institute survey, commissioned by the entity, points out that 43% of men interviewed consider themselves supervaidosos. For them, the male vanity is linked to the development of self-esteem and care with health and well-being.
Another finding: 83% say they''ve gone the time when only women care about the appearance. In addition, 54% say already attend regularly beauty salons and barber shop without any fear.
According to João Carlos Basílio, President of Abihpec, brazilian industry is mindful of the demand of the market and follows investing in innovation to this thread.
