Danone has high sales with resumption of demand, but conditions in Brazil follow challenging

PARIS-Danone announced on Tuesday higher-than-expected sales in the first quarter and said it is on track to deliver higher profit this year, despite challenging conditions in Brazil and Russia.
The company, the world''s largest Yogurt Maker, was discharged from 3,5% in first-quarter revenue over the same period last year, driven by products for babies in Asia, stronger demand for dairy products in North America and a better-than-expected performance in the Division of water.
The average of analysts '' estimates indicated 3,2% growth in Group sales in the period.
Danone has maintained the target for sales growth in 2016 of between 3 and 5% and improved operating margin compared with 12,91% recorded in 2015.
