Platinum water seeks leadership in the luxury market and high gastronomy

Platinum, one of the most prestigious mineral waters in the history of Brazil, closed a partnership with the Grande Hotel São Pedro and became the sole supplier of water from the hotel-school at Senac in Águas de São Pedro, São Paulo State. This partnership is strategic for the Platinum, which aims to be the market leader in Haute cuisine and luxury, selling their products in the best restaurants, hotels, spas, bars and clubs.
In the hotel''s restaurant will be served the 310 ml of water (natural gas), which is bottled in glass bottles produced pelaOwens-Illinois (O-I). The glass bottle is a sturdy and sustainable packaging that can be recycled endless times.
The package produced by Owens-Illinois was inspired by the original building of the Platinum source, built in 1935. The bottle features a classic and has striking element creative and differentiated relief that characterizes the decoration of the building. The shoulder of the bottle was developed in style gently rounded at the top, with entrances that reference a Crown, whose objective is to highlight the nobility of the water. Already the package label recalls the roots of Platinum, bringing the image of the House where the company began.
"Owens-Illinois has chosen to keep the whole tradition of the origin of Platinum source and add a clean, elegant and sophisticated, to highlight the quality of this product, which was repositioned to enter the market of águapremium, yet little developed in Brazil", says Daniel Amaral, Manager of Marketing and innovation of the O-I.
In addition, two other format differential elements that comprise their value and distinction are the long aluminum cover and the label embedded in the bottle, without the use of conventional paper or plastic films. The unique bottle was created in partnership with the design agency Seragini and received important recognitions in 2015, as the award OPENS the Brazilian Packing.
"The objective of the Platinum is to establish the highest standard among the Brazilian waters, so we wanted an elegant and sophisticated packaging that reflects the characteristics of lightness and balance of our product," said Walter Monici, commercial and Industrial Director of Platinum.
