Orange juice exporters do partnership for promotion in Europe

The National Association of exporters of Citrus juices (CitrusBR), which represents Cutrale and Citrosuco, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, reported that established today with the European fruit juice Association (AIJN, the acronym in French) a partnership to promote the consumption of orange juice in Europe, destination of about 70% of Brazilian exports of the product.
The agreement provides for investments of US $ 7 million a year on marketing actions in defense of the orange juice, including specific work with doctors, nutritionists and trainers of opinion. Associated enterprises to be borne 50% with CitrusBR of these investments, and the other half will come from 25 companies that make up the AIJN. According to CitrusBR, one of the goals of these campaigns is to reposition the orange juice at the "hall" of healthy drinks to speed up the recovery of demand, which is falling in Europe and in the world for nearly a decade.
"This is a historic moment for the sector, because it is the first time that juice producers and their customers come together to promote the Brazilian orange juice, which will receive 80% of the resources available," said in a statement, the Executive Director of CitrusBR, Ibiapaba Netto.
