Salton launches line Flowers and bet on sustainable packaging

The white wine demi-sec WINS lightweight line, with three products, and shows concern glass consumption reduction
The white wine demi-sec Salton Flowers just won a line, with one more option of white wine, dry, and two red wines. The big news of the series Flowers, light and floral, as its name implies, is the choice of the bottle, which uses recycled glass in the composition. In addition to the lighter packaging, the label brings a more modern design, with stylized flowers and cheerful colours.
"We chose to oxygenate and give a contemporary touch to the Salton Flowers, offering a complete line of light wines, floral and cheerful, much appreciated in places where temperatures are higher. The differential of the bottle is to be sustainable, using less glass in composition, "explains Daniela Salton, project manager of the winery.
The chosen bottle with the screw-cap closure method (screw cap), combines energy efficiency in ovens, increasing the recycling rate of glass and the gradual integration of green energy in the process. So, packing, developed by Verallia Rattling, has 10% more recycled glass, ensuring a 3% reduction in energy consumption and 5% of CO2 emissions.
The termovinificação, the process used for the development of this product and other wines from the line, keeps the most remarkable aromas. The products are soft and sweet. The method consists of heating the beans already crushed grape, seeking a greater extraction of polyphenols present, which translates into higher wine color intensity.
