73% home penetration

In the first half of this year, the average volume of chocolate consumed per household was 3.8 kg, a 11.8% reduction compared to the same period in 2019. The amount of going to the point of sale to purchase the product did not change, remaining 4.4 times.
The data are from a kantar survey, commissioned by the Brazilian Association of the Chocolate, Peanut and Candy Industry (Abicab), and comprise the category of regular products, such as tablets and chocolates.
