Versalis invests in recycled PS in Italy

In the fight of the rehabilitation of disposables, promoted under the pandemic of environmental villains to allies of public health, polystyrene (PS) accentuates its intertwining with the circular economy by the hands of the Italian Versalis, petrochemical controlled by oil company Eni, and the recycler Forever Plast.
The agreement signed aims at the development of PS grids from recycled packaging, such as yogurt pots and disposables as dishes, provided by a national consortium of collection and recycling of containers. The materials will be marketed under the revive ps-forever brand and should contain contents of up to 75% of recovered polymer, being waved to applications in household items and thermal insulation, for example.
