Sales fell by 46.9% for small businesses and 31.9% of large

The pandemic of the new coronavirus caused a drop in sales or services sold in 46.9% of the companies operating in the country in the first half of July.
The data are from the Pulse Company Survey: Impact of Covid-19 on Companies, which are part of the Experimental Statistics of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The drop in sales was more felt among small companies, reaching 46.9% of companies of this size.
Among the intermediary companies, 40.7% reported losses, while 31.9% of large companies reported this complaint.

The percentage of companies with a reduction in sales was 54.5% in retail trade, 48.1% in professional, administrative and complementary services and 47.7% in services provided to families.
