Del Valle has first juice in returnable bottle of the Brazilian market

Coca-Cola Brasil brings to the Brazilian market the first juice in returnable packaging in the country. The Del Valle brand will be the pioneer, with the launch of Del Valle Frut in orange and grape flavors, in returnable pet bottles of two liters, which can be reused up to 25 times.
According to the company, compared to the disposable packaging of 1 liter, the new bottle is up to 40% more economical.
The product was launched in Manaus, with expansion to the national territory scheduled for 2021.
According to Coca-Cola, the project was developed and executed in just two months. "We seek to reproduce as much as possible the returnable model in the category of soft drinks. Agility and simplicity were the premises of this project. We identify market demand, business opportunity and harmony with the new consumer, who seeks products that generate less impact, within the spirit of the circular economy," says Pedro Rios, Vice President of New Beverages at Coca-Cola Brazil.
The company has been investing in strengthening returnables in recent years and works with its manufacturers, such as Grupo Simões in the North region, to expand this system to other categories.
The strategy plays a prominent role in the global commitment to collect, reuse or recycle the equivalent of 100% of product packaging by 2030.
