Brazilians spend R$ 1,530 per year on makeup and cosmetics

On average, the Brazilian woman spends 1,530 reais on makeup and cosmetics every year.
The discovery is from a new research by Picodi, the base site of codes and discount coupons in Brazil. The interviews were conducted online in June.
Thirty-nine percent of women buy a new cosmetic when they find a promotion, while 32% only make the purchase when the product runs out. The price factor is the most important when buying, followed by brand factors, personal preferences and recommendations coming from bloggers and influencers in the area.
The mask is the most wanted item by Brazilian women, followed by lipstick/gloss and base.
Compared to other countries, Brazilian women spend more on cosmetics than Argentines, Mexicans, Swedes and Swiss, but less than Spanish, Portuguese, American and British.
But it's not all Brazilian women who like makeup; 37% go makeup every day, while 44% only wear makeup from time to time and 13.9% do not wear makeup.
