Sales of the Franchise Sector Add Up to R$ 54.9 Billion

The franchise sector recorded 8.1% sales growth in the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to R$ 54.9 billion. The given is from the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF). According to the entity, the result was driven by the opening of stores, black Friday performance and the release of FGTS looting. In 2019, the sector earned R$ 186.7 billion, an increase of 6.8%. The networks grew 4.7%, totaling 160,958 operations in Brazil. For 2020, the segment projects a nominal growth of 8%.
