Services sector drops 0.7% in March, IBGE says

The services sector declined 0.7% in March against February, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) on Tuesday (14). In the comparison with March last year, the fall was 2.3, the most intense since May 2018 (-3.8%), interrupting a sequence of 7 positive rates on this basis of comparison. "With this, the sector accumulates a decline of 1.7% in the first three months of the year and eliminates the discharge of 0.9% between October and December 2018," IBGE said.
