Owner of Jack Daniel's is growing in Brazil

The American manufacturer of distillates Brown-Forman, owner of Jack Daniel's whiskey and tequila Herradura and El Jimador, reported in the third fiscal quarter, ended January 31, the volume of sales in Brazil grew by 15%. Total sales also increased to 27% in constant currency, but fell 6% whereas the devaluation of the real against the dollar. The result, according to the company, was driven by the demand of Jack Daniel's. The operating profit amounted to $ $916 million, getting 2% above the calculated in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year. In the overall result, the company achieved a net profit of $ $676 million. The result was 11% higher. Net sales increased 3% compared to the previous year, to $ $2.58 billion.
