USA sell cotton in bales 228,200 week until 27 December

São Paulo, 7-The United States sold cotton bales 228,200 2018/19 harvest for the week ending December 27, already discounted cancellations, said this Thursday, 7, the United States Department of agriculture (USDA). The result represents 39% drop compared to the previous week when they were sold 373,100 bales, but excels in 39% the average of the four previous weeks. The main buyers were Pakistan (52800 bales), Turkey (49200 bales), India (35500 bales), China (28400 bales) and Mexico (23800 bales). To yield 2019/20, u.s. net sales totaled 32200 bales, of which 29000 burdens to the Mexico, 2300 burdens to the Japan and 900 bales for Thailand. The cotton shipments abroad totalled 189,800 bales in the week, falling 8% compared with the previous week, but high of 13% compared to the average of the four previous weeks.
