Advancement of the service sector closed in 2018 on country

The growth of the service sector of Brazil finished in 2018 10 months with maximum acceleration of new works, amid a strong degree of optimism before the change of Government, pointed out on Friday (04) the research index of Purchasing Managers (PMI , the acronym in English). The IHS Markit reported that the Brazilian services PMI has advanced to 51.9 in December from 51.3 in November, indicating stronger expansion rate of new businesses. "The latest PMI reading offers some assurance that there has been a continuous improvement in the services economy in 2019. Companies reported that the change in Government should sustain growth, increasing investments and further improve consumer confidence ", pointed out in a note the IHS Markit Economist, Pollyanna. Amid the strengthening of demand, winning new customers and additional services, sales growth accelerated for the strongest rate since March, the IHS Markit. The increase was spread among all the five subsectors monitored, led by information and communication. However, December indicated decline in new work coming from outside, after November have registered an increase for the first time in 44 months, although the pace of contraction has been marginal. Still, job employment in the service sector declined for the second month Brazil followed, with companies still citing cost-cutting efforts as the main reason. Already in relation to prices, input costs have risen again in the last month of the year, but the inflation rate fell to the weakest level in 2018.
