Industrial production has the best April since 2013

Industrial production, a major economic pace thermometer, grew 0.8 percent in April, compared to the previous month, according to data released by the IBGE. This is the biggest breakthrough for the fourth month of the year from 2013. When the comparison is with April 2017, production increased by 8.9%. Considering the first four months of this year, the industry accumulates high of 4.5%. In 12 months, the cumulative growth in industrial production is 3.9%. One of the components of the survey, the production of consumer goods advanced 0.4% from March to April and 14.8 percent compared to April of last year.
