Average price of coffee in the country is R $3.20, research shows

The traditional "coffee" it costs, on average, R $3.20 in commercial establishments in the country, according to the survey of the average price of Meal 2018, published by Sodexo benefits and incentives. The survey shows that 86% of establishments serve coffee; of these, half offers the product as a courtesy, without charges. According to the survey, the northeastern region offers the highest price, with the average value of R $3.34, while the South features the cheapest, with the average value of R $3.16. The Northeast and South regions are also the ones with the habit more consuming the drink, with 89% and 86% of establishments serving the product, respectively. The Brazilians ' favorite is the coffee brewed, served in 70% of restaurants and bakeries of the national territory. According to the Brazilian coffee industry Association (Abic), nine out of 10 Brazilians over 15 years of age consume the drink.
