66% of consumers will concentrate purchases in supermarkets in the Carnival

Supermarkets are the locations that should focus most purchases linked to the Carnival: 66% of consumers must attend one of these establishments. Secondly appear the shopping malls (30%), third street shops (30%) and soon after, the Department stores (27%). Even though inflation has remained below the target set by the Government in 2017, the majority of respondents (51%) believe that the prices of products and services related to the Carnival are more expensive this year than in the same period last year. Other 30% consider that they are in the same price range, while 15% think they're cheaper. Considering the cost of food and drink, the survey indicates that the majority intends to pay cash, either in cash (68%) or debit card (47%). To the President of the SPC, Roque Junior Pellizzaro Brazil, besides being part of the national culture, the Carnival represents a great potential for Brazilian entrepreneurs. "More than a big party, Carnival is a big deal, that drives many sectors of the economy. If on the one hand, the whole country is about to plunge into a long collective holiday, on the other, the tourism industry and trade and services companies celebrate the huge scope of the data and prepare to meet the demand for diversified consumption, "says Pellizzaro Junior.
