Rio Trade Sales Fall 5.8% in 2017

Retail sales showed a decline of Rio 5.8% in January to December 2017, as compared to the same period in 2016. The survey was done by the Center for studies of the Club of Directors Retailers do Rio de Janeiro (CDLRio). According to the entity, in December, sales fell 0.9% compared with the same month of the previous year, completing 12 months of consecutive falls. Just in the first half, nearly 10000 commercial establishments closed their doors across the State of Rio de Janeiro and that the number follows growing.
