Supermarkets selling high design items from the Jerk

São Paulo-supermarkets in the State of São Paulo project an increase of between 10% to 15% in sales of products related to Jerk during the month of June, in comparison with the date of 2016.
The survey, conducted by the São Paulo supermarket Association (APAS), took into account a list of products considered typical of festivity. Some of them were: peanuts, popcorn, Hominy, corn, mulled wine, mulled wine and pine nuts. According to the entity, to the food industries that are directly related to the festive period, sales of the months of June and July tend to represent a significant portion of total annual marketing of these products.
Impact on the stream
The entity believes that the commemorative has a big impact on the stream. "In addition to the elevation of typical articles from that era, the supermarket sector is positively impacted by greater flow and consumer traffic in stores, boosting the marketing of other products, such as meats, cheeses and beverages in General. With the colder climate, for example, the sale of wines is also affected positively, "said the Manager of Economics and research of Apas, Rodrigo Mariano, through press release.
With regard to prices, the Economist points out that are found variations from one year to another and according to the item. As a basis for comparison, over the past 12 months, prices of some products related to the period felt considerable high: wine (17.56%) soda (10.80%); and corn (11.37%). The beers and fruits saw Kickback, 2.39% and 11.29%, respectively.
Expectation
Mariano underscores that the Jerk should assist the supermarket sector in the growth of 1% in sales in June and July, compared with the same period last year. The result would be positive, he said, especially considering the current scenario of Brazil.
