PepsiCo grow in profit and revenue

The profit of American food and drink manufacturer PepsiCo registered 41 percent advance in the first fiscal quarter ended March 25, for $1.3 billion, compared to the previous year. The company''s revenue totaled $12 billion in the period, advancing 2 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
The company said that higher prices helped boost the results in the last quarter, as the volumes of your snacks and drinks sold in North America were pressured amid the changing profile of consumers who seek less calorie foods.
Indra Nooyi, President of the company, said the profit and revenue for the first quarter that surpassed market estimates, were positive, "despite the conditions of the food and beverage industry in North America and continuing volatility in many developing and emerging markets".
In addition to the advance, the last line of the balance sheet also was benefited by the 12% reduction in provisions for income tax and 5% in sales and administrative costs.
