Nestlé negotiates sale of brands to competitors, says source

Nestle, the country''s largest chocolates with 38.8% participation according to Euromonitor International, negotiates with their rivals the sale of part of its brands and trademarks of the Boy. The sale was a determination of Cade (Administrative Council of economic defense) to approve the merger of Nestle with the Boy, announced in 2004.
A source who declined to be identified said the Cade want to reduce the market shares of Nestlé and the Boy to approve the merger and has no interest in generating a new concentration, by selling marks for the runner-up, which is the Mondelez, with 31.9% of market share.
The column of Lauro garden, in the newspaper "O Globo" reported Sunday (9/4) that the Mondelez would be in advanced negotiations for the purchase of Nestlé ''s brands.
