DHL announces acquisition of Polar Transport

DHL Supply Chain, Deutsche Post DHL group, announced yesterday (17), acquisition of control of one of its service providers: the Polar Transport brazilian.

In a statement, DHL said the purchase will support the company''s growth ambitions in the country. "Acquire control of our long-standing service provider Polar Transport is a great opportunity for us to offer an integrated solution for end-to-end to the healthcare industry in Brazil," said Javier Bilbao, CEO of DHL Supply Chain for Latin America.
As the DHL Supply Chain, a survey of its customers showed that the temperature controlled transport has been the priority in the industry for three consecutive years. In addition, the company estimates that the cold chain segment is expected to grow in double digits, considering that the new releases of products in the industry, as biological medicinal products and vaccines, have temperature control requirements.
