Consumer delinquencies fall 4.4 percent in the first quarter of 2017

The consumer delinquencies reached 4.4% fall in year-to-date of 2017, according to national data from the Boa Vista SCPC. In 12 months accumulated in evaluation (April 2016 until March 2017 before the 12 months background) there was 3.6% retraction. Monthly evaluation, using seasonally adjusted data, delinquencies fell 1.4%. I''ve compared the result to March against the same month of 2016 there was decrease of 3.5%.
Regionally, the analysis in 12 months, accumulated growth occurred only in the northern region (1.7%), stability in the northeast (0.0%) and fall in other regions (Midwest with 0.2%, 4.8% and Southeast South varying 5.5%).
According to analysts of the Boa Vista SCPC, adversities that occurred in the economy over the past two years have generated great care in families, by inhibiting the consumption and consequently contributing to the decrease in the flow of bad debt.
