Chinese electric Spic finalizes acquisition of Pacific Hydro and mira Brazil expansion

RIO DE JANEIRO-the Chinese State Electric Power Investment Corporation (Spic) finalized the purchase of the assets of Pacific Hydro Brazil, initiating the expansion plan in your country and in Latin America with a focus on hydropower and wind power, said the company in a press release.
"Currently, the Group evaluates potential of hydroelectric generating assets of large enterprises, wind assets and participation in upcoming auctions wind to be promoted by the Brazilian Government," said Spic.
Recently, the Group acquired 27,3% of Astaldi SpA-completing 100% of stake-on Chacayes hydro of 111 megawatts of installed capacity in the river Cachoapal, in Chile.

Result of the merger between the former China Power and Nuclear Energy Technology Corporation of the State, the Spic has total assets of 113 billion dollars and your total installed capacity exceeds 110,000 megawatts. In China, the Spic is among the five largest generators of electricity, according to the company.
