Unilever rejects offer of $143 bi from Kraft

LONDON-Unilever said he didn''t see merit in a proposal for a merger with the Kraft food group Heinz after rejecting an offer of 143 billion dollars, saying that "fundamentally subvaloriza" the anglo-Dutch giant consumer goods.
Unilever is said to have received an offer of $50 per share, consisting of $30.23 in cash and the rest in shares in the new group, representing a 18% award.
"This basically underestimates the Unilever," said on Friday. "Unilever has rejected the proposal because it does not see any merit, financial or strategic, to the shareholders of Unilever. Unilever does not see the basis for further discussions. "
