Industrial tourism is estimated to generate $1 million

São Paulo-São Bernardo do Campo resumed on Friday (17) Industrial Tourism program, which conducts guided tours for companies and industries. It is expected that the program will move approximately $1 million this year.
Through the Department of tourism and events, the city only coordinates the program. The visits are free and organized by companies that are in the script. In addition to presenting the industrial area as a tourist spot, the program works as a kind of encouragement to the activities in the city and tourist identity of the municipality.
"About 50% of these visitors are from other States and countries and are in São Bernardo, on average, for up to three days, with daily spending around 300.00 R$, between lodgings, transport and food. The projection is that the program move around r $1 million in 2017, "says the Mayor. All food service, transportation and lodgings are on the tourist, complements the administration.
Visitors
The estimate of the City Hall is that the program will receive 7,000 visitors until the end of this year, 5,000 of them until April. This scenario shows the expectation of growth of 20% of visits over the past year, 2016, when the visitation received 2,100 tourists.
According to research, students represent 65% of the audience of the program. In addition, teachers, businessmen and ordinary citizens also represent most of the visits. Among all the visitors, 60% are women.
Visibility
The city also reported that there is no direct financial contribution, for corporate and municipal administration. However, points out that after participating in the program, one of the revealed interest in installing your headquarters in the city.
