Statoil invests US $25 million in Brazilian solar energy project

The Norwegian tanker group Statoil announced on Wednesday an investment of 25 million dollars in the Brazilian solar energy project, which aims to bring Soccer power to 160,000 homes in the northeast of Brazil.
With the amount, the purchase of the independent Norwegian group Statoil Scatec Solar 40% of project Apodi (162 megawatts) and 50% of the capital of the consortium responsible for running the project.
