Percentage of checks returned back to 2.13%

The number of returned checks (second return for lack of funds) as a proportion of the total number of checks handled retreated to 2.13% in August 2016. With this result, the indicator remained below the registered last month (2.21%) and above the August 2015, percentage of 2.07%.

Returned checks have increased 5.6% on a monthly comparison, while the bustling grew 9.6% checks, which led to the fall of the percentage in the period.

Year to date, the percentage of returned checks amounted to 2.31% moved over 2.15% recorded in the same period of the previous year. On the same basis of comparison, the percentage of this month is the biggest historical series.
