PepsiCo''s profit is stable and revenue falls in the second quarter

The American multinational food and beverage PepsiCo reported on Thursday a slight increase of 0.95 percent in the fiscal second-quarter profit of the company (closed on 11 June), to $ 2.03 billion.
The company''s revenue shrank 3.3% in the period, to $ 15.4 billion.
According to the company, revenue was affected by the devaluation and the deconsolidation of operations in Venezuela. Already increased efficiency pulled up the company''s margins.
"Although I remain a global macro environment incredibly volatile, we are pleased with our second quarter results," said the ceo, Indra Nooyi, said in a statement.
Operationally, the company''s revenue was affected mainly by operations in Latin America, Europe and Sub-saharan Africa.
3 percent advance in revenue from snacks and Quaker brand in the United States compensated partly the indentation in other segments, said PepsiCo.
