CADE approves purchase of 34 percent of Mitsubishi Motors by Nissan

The general oversight of the Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade) approved without restrictions the purchase by Nissan, 34 percent of Mitsubishi Motors. With the operation, the Nissan becomes the largest shareholder of Mitsubishi.
According to information provided by Cade, the operation will expand Nissan''s presence in areas little served as the Southeast Asia "and" in certain segments of automobiles and light commercial ".
The operation was announced in may, after a scandal in which Mitsubishi claimed to have lied in consumer tests in feature that produced in the Japanese market.
The operation between vehicles of Japanese origin is also being notified in China, Philippines, Canada, Colombia, the European Union, Japan and other countries.
Order of the General Superintendence of the Cade approving the operation was published on Thursday in the "Official Gazette" (GIVE).
