Retail of Construction Grows 8% in March

Retail sales of building material grew 8% in March, compared to February this year, and retreated 4% compared to March 2015, according to data from Anamaco. With that, the sector closed the first quarter of the year with 10% drop on the same period last year. "This was an expected behavior for our sector, after all the sales always rise after the Carnival holiday," explains the President of Anamaco, Claudius Conz. Monthly comparison, ceramic tiles have grown 5%, followed by sanitary wares and tiles of cement (4%) and locks and fittings (2%). Paints and metal fittings remained stable during the period.
