Conab and Abracen renew agreement to strengthen sector hortigranjeiro

In order to contribute to the continuous improvement of the hortigranjeiro sector, the national supply company (Conab) signed on Thursday (31), technical cooperation agreement with the Brazilian Association of power stations supply (Abracen). The document was signed during the event new Board of Abracen, in Belo Horizonte. Were present to act the Director of State operations and Supply the Igo Deda, the Superintendent of the company Supply, Newton Aguilar s., Jr., and the President of France Abracen, Gustavo Alberto Fonseca.
The partnership provides, within the framework of the Brazilian program of modernization of the Hortigranjeiro Market (Prohort) from Conab, actions of support to the sector as the system development, the transfer of information and knowledge between the Conab and Ceasas, skills, among other measures. One of the strategies which presents great efficiency to mitigate losses in the sector is the Producer''s Shack, says Newton, Jr. The initiative, implemented in Minas Gerais and other States of the country and visited by representatives of the company, aims to assist small producers in adding value to production and better packaging of the products.
During the tenure of the new Board, Abracen also reaffirmed their adherence to the Information System of supply Markets of Brazil (Simab), developed by Conab. The system allows to extract information about volume, price and origin of fruit and vegetables marketed in the Ceasas. These data serve as a basis for economic analysis of specialized areas of the federal Government, contributing to the definition of public policies in the industry.
