Record building materials register deflation

Construction materials prices in the State of São Paulo, calculated by means of the INCC/index IBGE SINAPI, relied on a 0.25% deflation in January 2016. Is the lowest index for this month since the survey was created in mid-1994. Last year, the INCC registered increase of 0.44% for the same period. In 12 months, the index reached 4.43%, below the value achieved for the same period in 2015, when it was at 5.15%. The average price of hardware has the biggest drop, -1.5%. Floorings and wall and cement were also cheaper on average.
