Samsung tries to defend market share

For four years the Samsung took advantage of the success of its smartphones Galaxy, doing billions of dollars in the competition with Apple in the market for top-of-the-line appliances.
But the coming years look like they will be darkest for the South Korean technology giant, while is forced to cut prices and accept lower margins to compete with Chinese rivals like Huawei and Xiaomi. Behind the understanding of reality by Samsung is being attached to the same Android operating system used by low-cost competitors, which are producing more and better phones.
"The letter is given time to any manufacturer of high-end Androids: as soon as lower equipment become ' good enough ', there will be no more reason to buy a luxury brand," said in Taipei Stratechery.com analyst, Ben Thompson.
Samsung said last week that it will continue trying to maximize profitability and market share, revealing plans to release new high-end phones with large screen and devices with lower prices.
Barriers
Investors and analysts say, however, that Samsung will not be able to compete with Apple in the market for sophisticated devices based on hardware and will continue behind the American giant while not getting a great technological advancement.
