Klabin receives recommendation of AIB

Klabin has received a recommendation from the American Institute of Baking (AIB) for industrial bags produced by the company and for the food market. The recommendation of the American entity, which became a centre of food technology transfer and performs audits and inspections in factories in more than 120 countries, happened after on-the-spot inspection in Lages Unit I (SC) and makes the Klabin the first Brazilian company in the paper and pulp sector to win the approval of its processes by AIB.
Entity's technicians inspected the Klabin's factory and assessed five items: operating methods and personnel practices; maintaining food safety; cleaning practices; integrated pest management; fitness programs and food safety prerequisite. This consolidated set of standards is recognized by food companies as protective measures and required by customers of the food segment, particularly in foreign markets.
The recognition attests to the processes adopted by Klabin in your program of food packaging, which ensures the integrity of the bags, their health conditions and the health of the consumer. This program brings together a set of actions and criteria related to health conditions of industries or establishments that manufacture packaging for food products. Are rules that define ideal forms of fabrication, from changes in the methods of cleaning, behaviour of the people involved, equipment and buildings, seeking to eliminate the sources of possible contamination of a product.
