Pakistan open market for Brazilian beef to birds

Health authorities of Pakistan approved the list of Brazilian establishments accredited by Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (Mapa) to export poultry to the Asian country. The information was released today (6) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the note on which the Brazilian Government advises that received the news with "great satisfaction".
"They concluded that the procedures for the opening of the Pakistani market for Brazilian exports of this product, after joint efforts of MAP and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," says the note.
In accordance with the Itamaraty, the Pakistani authorities ' decision reinforces the quality and sanity of Brazilian beef to birds and will help strengthen national agricultural sector, generating more employment and income through the expansion of exports in the sector.
"Pakistan, potential market of 182 million inhabitants, should represent important destination for Brazilian poultry," says the Brazilian Government, adding that the poultry is the main animal protein consumed in the Asian country, representing 40% of the consumed.
