Brazil beats record sales of mobile phones in the last quarter

17.9 million cell phones were sold in Brazil between April and June, with 13.3 million smartphones (75%) and 4.6 million feature phones (25 percent), those who do not rely on operating systems. The numbers represent an increase of 22% compared with the same quarter of last year, and a record in the country, according to the consulting firm IDC Brazil.
