PIA presents first fresh milk zero lactose from Brazil

With over four decades of expertise in the manufacturing of products, highlighting milks, yoghurts and fruit candies, Piá cooperative features in 2014 Expoagas, which takes place until tomorrow, in Porto Alegre (RS), three launches aimed at enlarging its mix and offer more choices to consumers.
Among the new features is the first fresh milk zero lactose from Brazil, which will integrate the new line Frische Milch, composed also by Full versions and skim. "This announcement comes after many studies, research and investments in State-of-the-art equipment made by the industry," says the President of the cooperative, Gilberto Kny.
Better known as "milk bag", fresh milk has validity of five days. The fresh milk of the Pia will undergo special treatment in an equipment imported from Germany, which eliminates 98% of bacteria and allows the drink has validity of up to 12 days in a carton pack. "We have only certified producers to provide the raw materials exclusively for this line", explains the Executive.
The cooperative also extends its existing line of UHT milk, with zero lactose versions and rich in calcium and vitamins A & d. "This is the first time that produces fresh milk and UHT dairy in Rio Grande do Sul. Currently, the ones that are sold here comes from Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais and Goiás ", informs Kny.
Another novelty presented at Expoagas for the brand is the Greek yogurt Yos Light. This new composition, the product hits the market in traditional flavor Sweetened, exotic Pomegranate us with Cranberry and Physalis, and orange, Carrot and honey.
Already the regular line Yos wins the Banana Caramel flavors, Apple Strudel and Nuts Mix. "Our goal is always evolving, investing in quality and introducing new products that are aligned with what our consumer demand and desires", finalized Kny.
