Lenovo sells more smartphones than pcs

Between April and June this year, the company sold 15.8 million smartphones and 14.5 million computers. According to the company, the increase in sales of smartphones can be attributed to the change of corporate positioning by offering products considered "premium" for all audiences, and rising demand in emerging markets. Despite the increase in sales of smartphones, computers and notebooks represent 78% and still stands as the strongest sector in the company, while smartphones and tablets represent 15% of the total revenue of the group. Lenovo's Vice President for Latin America said it intends to bring to Brazil the company's premium products, something which should extend the manufacturer's global presence in the industry.
