More than 41 million Brazilians should use smartphones in 2014

More than 41 million Brazilian consumers, or 20.3% of the population of the country, should use smartphones in 2014, according to calculations of the consulting firm eMarketer. The annual growth rate will be 36%, if the expectation of confirmation. As the use of equipment expands, users are spending more time connected to cellphones than any other device, says eMarketer.
A study by Millward Brown confirms the trend, by pointing the smartphones like the devices with longer daily use. Users aged between 16 and 44 years prefer mobile phones and dedicated 149 minutes on average per day, use of the equipment. The laptops appear in second place with 146 minutes a day, followed by television with 113 minutes.
The study also took into account the concurrent use of television and other devices among consumers in emerging countries of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China). The group, the Chinese spectators are the ones who spend more time making use of the second screen. In the country, the average is 54 minutes a day using the Smartphone and TV at the same time. The laptops are used during 34 minutes the tablets during 28 minutes while watching TV programming.
The Brazil appears in sequence with 52 minutes of simultaneous use of cell phones and television. Nationally, smartphones are also preferred as a second screen. The laptop ranks second, with 35 minutes of simultaneous use and the tablets are responsible for 33 minutes a day for use of multiple screen. In India and Russia, the use of multiple devices is less representative. In both countries, the trend of the smartphone as preferred remains responsible for 49 and 29 minutes respectively, concurrent use diary.
