Cost of wheat production in Rio Grande do Sul rose 18.23% this year, study shows

The increases in prices of inputs such as agrochemicals, fuel and labor, plus the adjustment of technical parameters employed in the calculation resulted in a high of 18.23 percent over variable costs and 13.45% in total costs per hectare of wheat crops in the 2014 crop in Rio Grande do Sul, in comparison with the previous one. The survey was released today by the Federation of agricultural cooperatives of the State (Fecoagro).
