Sale of corrugated board falls 2.31% in November

Domestic sales of corrugated board accelerated the pace of fall in November, compared to the previous year, and retreated to 293.882% 2.31 million tons, according to preliminary data released by the Brazilian Association of corrugated board (ABPO).
On that basis of comparison, industry shipments were coming in high since July, but reversed course in October.
According to the preview of the ABPO last month, Brazilian sales of plates, cardboard plates and accessories fell 6.41% compared to October.
With this performance, in the 11 months of the year, shipments totaled 3.142 million tonnes, virtually stable compared to the same period in 2013, with a high of only 0.09%.
The expansion is well below the expected officially by the entity. For 2014, projected maximum growth ABPO 2% in shipments of corrugated boxes.
Earlier this year, the sector worked with high of 3.5% to 4% in annual sales, but cut the estimate after the poor performance in April.
