Monsanto will invest $ 150 million in Brazil

Monsanto announced this Wednesday, 10, $ 150 million investment in Brazil in the 2015 fiscal year, which began in September.
The President of Monsanto in Brazil, Rodrigo Santos, reported that some of the sectors that receive investments will be research and manufacturing units of seeds.
One of the plants of the company on the list is that of Petrolina (PE), according to the Executive.
Santos commented that the company has two genetically modified varieties in evaluation on national biosafety technical Commission (CTNBio): a pest tolerance and another with herbicide resistance.
According to the Executive, altogether 18 technologies are under evaluation in CTNBio.
