GPA Progresses in the Northeast

The Pão de Açúcar group has invested in a new distribution centre, opened in October in Suape in Pernambuco, to advance in the Northeast with the model of neighbourhood shops, such as Extra and minute Supermarket Pão de Açúcar. "Today we have a basis that will make it possible to take the stores of proximity to the Northeast, where haven't we work with these flags," explained the Chairman of GPA, Ronaldo Iabrudi. The company anticipates closing December this year with 200 new stores, including all businesses, and reported that will keep in 2015 the investment of r $ 1.8 billion, a figure that has been invested annually by the group from 2013.
