Abraciclo corrects forecasts for production and sales in 2015

Abraciclo corrected their projections to 2015. Unlike a 3.4% increase in production, the estimate is high of 2%. It estimates for sales of retail is increase of 2.1%, compared with 2.8% targeted in previous text. Follows the corrected text:
The Brazilian Association of manufacturers of motorcycles, Scooters, mopeds, bicycles and similar (Abraciclo) reported on Tuesday, 09, that both the production of motorcycles as sales close 2014 with the performance worse than 2013.
According to the data from Abraciclo, the production of motorcycles must close 2014 with fall of 13.1% in the comparison of 2013. It is estimated that by the end of the year are produced 1,450,000 units.
Year to date until November, were manufactured 1,429,012 motorcycles, a 10.2% reduction in comparison to 2013, when 1,592,073 units were produced. On a monthly comparison, in November 2014 were produced 121,719 motorcycles, down 15.8% compared to October.
Retail sales already should close the year with a fall of 5.6%, with 1,430,000 units sold. Year to date by November, the motorcycle plates issued reached 1,301,981 units compared with 1,374,988 last year, down 5.3%.
In the case of wholesale sales (the assembler for the concessionaire) it is estimated that 2014 record fall of 9% compared to 2013, with 1,445,000 units sold. Year to date until November wholesale sales were 11.3% lower than recorded in the same period in 2013. Were sold 1,316,391 units sold this year to date compared with the same period of 1,483,307 2013.
Exports
Abraciclo predicts a fall of 14.9% in exports in 2014 before 2013, to 90 thousand units. According to the entity, the number of motorcycles sold with the external market YTD until November registers a drop of 16.3% before 2013. 82,003 exported units were exported this year before 98,002 sold to other countries in the same period last year.
For 2015, the estimated a fall of Abraciclo 55.6% in exports as a result of indentation in the Argentinean market. The poor performance expected for next year is a bad year for exports of motorcycles.
Despite the negative number in foreign sales, the entity provides that 2015 will be a year with better performance both in production and in domestic sales. According to the figures released on Tuesday, provides for an increase of Abraciclo 2% on production and 1% in wholesale sales (for the automaker's dealership) and 2.1% in retail sales.
According to the President of Abraciclo, Marcos Fermanian, two-wheel sector is confident a resumption next year. "In 2015, there will be no negative impacts on retail we had in 2014, with the World Cup and the elections," he said.
